"Forest Management and Wildfire Risk Reduction along the Big Thompson River"

South Larimer Discussion Group will host "Larimer Connects" to discuss the Round Mountain Forest Health Restoration Project in west Loveland, out on Highway 34 where the river has been diverted and road rebuilt. Shayle Nelson Sabo, who is an Emergency Management coordinator with Larimer Connects Program, will explain the Emergency Management Office, the work being done with the community, and collaboration with the coalitions. She has also invited Big Thompson Watershed Coalition and Coalition for Poudre River Watershed. They are spearheading the Round Mountain Project to provide subject matter expertise.

This program fits into our LWV positions under Natural Resources, specifically "Environmental Planning and Management" and "Land Use.”
