Remember to Renew Your Membership!

September is membership renewal time for many members!

Is it YOUR month to renew? Check your member expiration date by logging into your profile on our ClubExpress website.

This year we’ve had a membership "transformation" process in which renewals will take place through a membership portal developed by the League of Women Voters of the United States (LWVUS). When it is time for your renewal, you will receive reminder emails from the LWVUS. If it is time for you, start here.

It is important to log in with the email you have on file with the League since this is your userID for the new system. Your email can also be verified in your profile in our ClubExpress website.

Dues are on a pay-what-you-will basis with a recommended amount of $75 and a minimum of $20.  Payments are divided between the local, state and national Leagues and can be made securely online with a credit card. In a second step, members can make a donation, 100% of which will go to the League of Women Voters of Larimer County. We encourage you to consider a donation to our League as you renew!

If you have questions, please contact Ann Keith. You can also find information here after you log into the website.

Celebrate September Hispanic Heritage Month!

The Museum Mujeres de Colores’ Exhibit "From Sugar to Diamonds" will be open through September 28th from 12-6 pm Tuesday-Sunday at the Center for Creativity, 200 Matthews Street, Fort Collins.

It honors the early Hispanic and Mexican beet workers that came out of the fields to play baseball between 1930-1960.  The exhibit showcases their love of the game, the challenges they faced, their determination, their passion and courage which laid the groundwork for future generations of athletes of color, for Hispanics and Mexicans to play professional baseball, including those that play for the Colorado Rockies today!

Truth Be Told Documentary Film to Premiere

A new documentary film, featuring dedicated Colorado Journalists from across our state, is scheduled to premiere in Denver on 9News on November 9. You can watch the Truth Be Told Trailer here. Then mark your calendar for November 9 and share the date with your friends because, truth be told, democracy only works when we all have access to credible news.
