Making Democracy Work: Past, Present, and Future
LWVLC Local Convention
Each of you is a voting delegate at our local level convention. We need you to participate to make a quorum for the voting. We are planning an informative and exciting evening. Here are some bites for you to chew on.

You will take part in discussions about some agenda items from the floor, but you must be there virtually or in-person by ZOOM. Please register from the calendar.

Our Program will begin with the theme "Making Democracy Work: Past, Present, and Future."
(Hint: YOU are the Present and young representatives from the CSU Political Science Department and the Straayer Center for Public Service Leadership will share their vision of the future of Democracy at Work.)

Business Meeting:
The Business Meeting will follow with a presentation and your vote on the budget for 2022-2023.
You will also vote on the proposal for the new Issues Team: News Access and Literacy for Public Participation (NAL).
You will meet three nominees for the Admin Team who will be replacing the three members who are leaving; nominations will be taken from the floor, but the nominee must have given his/her prior approval to accept the  consideration.

You have the option to attend this ZOOM meeting from your home or at two in-person locations. Here are the in-person details:

Small group gatherings for fellowship and hor d'oeuvres and drinks will be held prior to the Annual Meeting on May 9. The group will watch the meeting together and vote, but it is important that you first make your reservation for the Annual Meeting on the calendar.

Then RSVP to the small group you wish to attend, noting if you plan to bring a drink or dish to share. Plates, tableware, and glasses will be provided.
RSVP by Sunday night, May  8.
