Due to Library closure and COVID 19 precautions, this event has been cancelled. However those volunteers who want to write at home can pick up a postcard packet with full instructions from Janet Schultz's porch (7209 Fort Morgan Dr. 80525) Thursday, March 19, any time 9 am- 7 pm. Completed postcards to be returned in the packet to Janet's porch by day's end, Sunday, March 22. A great activity to pass time while social distancing! Please RSVP to Janet so she knows how many packets to make. LWV, in partnership with Colorado Common Cause, want to ensure every Coloradan is counted! So warm up your fingers and join us for this fun, yet important activity. Studies show that hand written reminders are an extremely effective way to encourage fellow citizens to complete a targeted action. The Census is a vital part of our democratic process, helping to inform how citizens are represented in our elections, and how billions in federal and state dollars are allocated. The entire community benefits from a strong Census turnout. Please volunteer! All supplies provided by our Common Cause friends.
