Opportunities to Learn About Ballot Issues
The League of Women Voters of Larimer County provided information on state and local ballot issues at two League sponsored meetings in October. The pros and cons were discussed in an impartial manner by League representatives.
This year there were major issues on the ballot that have long lasting impacts for our state and local communities. Some of the state issues are school finance restructuring, setback requirements for oil and gas, composition of redistricting committees for state and federal election districts, financing of transportation projects, and payday loans. Locally, Larimer County residents will vote on a mental health facility as well as bond and mill levy override questions for Thompson School District.
