The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization that encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
To find the facts, to study them, and to use them in politics and government have been the historic goals of the League of Women Voters since its founding in 1920. The same goals have prompted the League of Women Voters of Larimer County to prepare this internet guide for the citizens of Larimer County, so that they may have the means for action within the framework of our present system. Included is nonpartisan information related to voting, schools, courts, and all levels of government affecting county residents. The pages on this site direct citizens to other informative publications as well as to specific agencies and officials.
As a nonpartisan organization, the League of Women Voters never supports or opposes any candidate or party. We do take positions on issues based on in-depth study. As such, the League enjoys a strong reputation in the community for providing reliable, balanced information to voters.

You can make a difference! Now is the time to join your local League of Women Voters and start making a difference in your community! League membership is open to all women and men of eligible voting age. It's also a great opportunity to meet and work with dedicated, passionate people on issues close to your own heart.
LWV of Larimer County has active teams working on such critical issues as health care, land use, civil liberties, and international relations. Other teams carry out voter service activities and stay abreast of legislative issues in Colorado in order to encourage positive changes in state and local government. Current League activities are explained in more detail in our monthly newsletter, League Lines. (See the League News section.)
New and prospective members are invited to attend one of the new member coffees held throughout the year to meet some of our current members, learn more about the League structure, and find out how to get involved. Anyone interested in joining the League is also encouraged to attend our monthly general meetings; see the calendar.
Our current dues are $55 per year from September through September. With these dues you are a member of the local, state and national League of Women Voters. (If you join after Feb. 15th the dues drop to $27.50 for the remainder of that year.) Reduced or free dues are available under certain circumstances. If you are interested in joining or just getting more information, please call 416-5873.
